Making Everyday AI a Reality: Dataiku Cited in 2022 Gartner® Market Guide Reports for Data Science & ML Platforms

Dataiku Company, Scaling AI Catie Grasso

In an announcement from Gartner analysts back in October 2021, it was revealed that the Data Science and Machine Learning Platforms Magic Quadrant will be retired when the currently published research archives. You might be asking yourself, “Wait, why is that?”

In the Gartner blog "End of Era Signals New Beginning for Data Science and Machine Learning Magic Quadrant," analyst Carlie Idoine said, “For several years now, we have been observing a shift in the analytics market as historically separate markets converge … We observe growing differentiation among vendors and distinct groups forming: some vendors actively and primarily focus on and prioritize multipersona and democratization; other vendors more specifically focus on the needs of a code-based expert audience.”* For more insights on the bifurcation of the data science and machine learning platform market, check out this recap.

So, in place of the Magic Quadrant for Data Science and ML Platforms, Gartner has just released two separate Market Guide reports on the ever-evolving data science and ML platform market, aimed to help give organizations further insight into the market itself:

  • The Market Guide for DSML Engineering Platforms
  • The Market Guide for Multipersona Data Science and Machine Learning Platforms

We’re excited to announce that Dataiku is listed as a Representative Vendor in both of the above mentioned 2022 Market Guide reports.

Dataiku: From Full Code to No Code, Everyday AI Is for All

In the Market Guide for DSML Engineering Platforms, Gartner states,

A number of platforms fall in the category of being both DSML multipersona and engineering platforms. They typically provide a low-code interface for domain experts and citizen data scientists to work on predictive analytics tasks, but also contain a coding environment where experts can take a human or autogenerated ML model and deploy it as a service with basic monitoring capability.”**

Dataiku is one of the vendors recognized in both Market Guide reports because of those reasons mentioned above. As a 2x Leader (2020 and 2021) in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Data Science and ML Platforms, Dataiku enables success via:

  • An easy-to-use, collaborative interface accessible to all
  • Streamlined value, with an efficient end-to-end pipeline enabling people to create AI applications in as quickly as a week
  • Deployment as a central, global, company-wide solution to design and manage AI, giving flexibility to teams but with global oversight.

So, whether you’re a technical expert who prefers to work in full code or you’re on the business side and work with low- or no-code, Dataiku was designed to help — making analytics and AI accessible to a broader base of workers, from creators to consumers.
