Geeta Kakrani’s Inspiring Journey

My journey began in an unexpected way, diverging from the traditional path many in this industry may have taken.

Twenty years ago, I found myself fresh out of college with a degree in commerce, unsure of what career path to pursue. Little did I know that my journey into the world of technology was about to begin. In 2001, I landed my first job as a receptionist at a local computer center. It was here that I was introduced to the world of programming languages like C.

With determination and a thirst for knowledge, I embarked on a journey of self-study, teaching myself the intricacies of C programming. Just three months later, I found myself in the role of a trainer, imparting my newfound knowledge of C and Oracle to others.

A Decade of Hardwork and Success

In 2003, fueled by my passion for teaching and technology, I took another significant step and founded a training institute. This allowed me to share my expertise with even more individuals eager to learn and grow in the technological field.

In 2010, after years of experience in both training and software development, I took another bold step and established my own software company, Kanishka IT. This was a culmination of my years of hard work, dedication, and passion for technology.

But my journey didn’t stop there. In 2012, I stumbled upon the fascinating world of machine learning (ML). Despite the challenges posed by my lack of formal education in mathematics and statistics, I was determined to master this field. I devoted countless hours to relearning mathematics, starting from the basics of high school algebra and progressing to advanced statistics.

After months of perseverance and dedication, I finally began to grasp the concepts of ML and AI. Armed with newfound knowledge and expertise, I delved into the world of deep learning and AI application development, creating innovative solutions that push the boundaries of technology.

CEO, Content Creator, and More!

Today, I am proud to say that I am not only a successful CEO but also a blogger and content creator, sharing my experiences and knowledge with others. However, one challenge I faced along the way was the lack of resources for individuals like me – those who come from non-STEM backgrounds or have been away from formal education for an extended period of time.

That’s why I am writing a book – to fill this gap and provide a comprehensive resource for anyone looking to start their journey in ML and AI from scratch. In this book, I aim to explain complex concepts in a simple and accessible manner, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their background, can understand and excel in this field.

My journey may have been unconventional, but it is a testament to the power of determination, perseverance, and lifelong learning. I hope that my story inspires others to pursue their passions and embrace the challenges that come their way.
