SAP을 상대로 제기된 반독점 소송에서 미국 연방법원이 일부 혐의에 대해 기각 결정을 내렸지만, 주요 쟁점은 재판에서 다퉈야 한다는 판단을 내렸다. 이번 소송은 독일 소프트웨어 기업 SAP과 셀로니스(Celonis) 간의 법적 분쟁으로, 셀로니스는 SAP가 시장 지배력을 이용해 자사의 고객 접근을 방해하고 있다고 주장했다. SAP가 경쟁사를 자사 고객과의 협업에서 배제함으로써 자사 솔루션 사용을 강제하고 있다는 것이다. 미 캘리포니아 북부지방법원의 빈스 차브리아 판사는 지난 1일(현지시간) 이 사건에 대해 일부 기각, 일부 인정하는 일명 ‘스플릿 판결’을 내렸다. 판결에 따르면, 셀로니스가 제기한 다수의 혐의는 기각됐지만, 핵심적인 반독점법 위반 혐의는 재판에서 심리해야 한다고 판단했다.

AI 활용으로 IT 일자리가 늘어날 것이라는 CIO의 기대는, 인력을 축소하기 위해 AI를 활용하라고 요구하는 CEO와 이사회의 비용 절감 목표와 충돌할 가능성이 높다. 많은 기업이 AI를 통해 약 20% 수준의 인건비 절감을 요구하고 있지만, IT 리더는 생성형 AI 솔루션을 구현하기 위해 더 많은 직원을 채용할 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있다. 딜로이트가 6월 발표한 C레벨 IT 리더 대상 설문조사에 따르면, IT 리더 10명 중 7명이 생성형 AI 대응을 위해 인력을 늘릴 계획이라고 답했다. 딜로이트의 기술·AI·데이터 전략 부문 리더 루 디로렌조 주니어는 “AI 기반 효율화를 본격적으로 추진하기 전에 역량을 강화하기 위해 추가 AI 전문가를 채용해야 한다는 CIO의 인식이 강하다”고 말했다.

IT 인프라 관리와 운영 효율성 확보는 IT 리더의 일부 역할에 불과하다. 조직의 광범위한 변화를 주도하고, 비즈니스 성장을 촉진하며, 혁신을 이끌어내는 일 또한 중요하다. 최근 딜로이트(Deloitte) 조사에 따르면 CIO의 절반 이상이 자신을 기술 전문가가 아닌 변화의 주체로 인식했으며, 59%는 혁신과 전환을 가능하게 하는 역할을 맡고 있다고 응답했다. 하지만 IT 리더들이 혼자서만 일하는 것은 아니다. 북한 위협 행위자는 웹3 및 암호화폐 산업에 속한 기업을 대상으로, 일반적으로 사용되지 않는 비주류 언어인 님(Nim)으로 작성된 맥OS 전용 백도어를 활용한 공격을 수행하고 있다. 이들은 또한 초기 페이로드로 가짜 줌(Zoom) 업데이트를 포함한 애플스크립트(AppleScript) 스크립트도 함께 사용하고 있다. 보안 기업 센티널원(SentinelOne)은 2일 공개된 보고서에서 “북한과 연계된 공격자는 과거에도 고, 러스트와 같은 언어를 활용해 스크립트와 바이너리를 결합한 다단계 공격을 시도해 왔다”라며 “님은 컴파일 시점에서 함수 실행이 가능해 복잡한 동작을 덜 눈에 띄게 이진 코드에 숨길 수 있으며, 이로 인해 개발자 코드와 런타임 코드가 함수 수준에서도 혼합되는 특징이 있다”라고 분석했다.

마이크로소프트(MS)가 지난 3일 ‘익스체인지 서버 서버 구독 에디션(Subscription Edition, SE)’을 정식 출시했다. 기존 익스체인지 2016과 2019를 사용하는 기업이 온프레미스 이메일 서버를 계속 사용하려면 모든 사용자 및 서버에 대해 구독 기반 라이선스를 도입해야 한다. SE는 이름 그대로 구독 기반 제품이다. 온프레미스 독립형 서버 제품의 가격은 즉시 10% 인상되며, 온프레미스 코어 CAL 제품군(Core CAL Suite)은 15%, 온프레미스 엔터프라이즈 CAL 제품군(Enterprise CAL Suite)은 20% 인상된다. 변경 사항은 2025년 8월 1일부터 적용된다. MS는 기업이 SE를 사용하기 위해서는 서버 라이선스와 CAL 외에도 특정 구독을 유지해야 한다고 설명 했다.
