You rent audiences on TV, Magazines, Search, Display, etc. In my post Web Analytics 101: Goals, Metrics, KPIs, Dimensions, Targets , I'd defined metric as "a metric is a number." Ex: Our average Cost Per Acquisition is down to $38, much better than the target of $45 we had set at the beginning of the quarter.
