So here I what I actually said: If you see a data puke then you know you are looking at the result of web reporting, even if it is called a dashboard. If you see words in English outlining actions that need to be taken, and below the fold you see relevant supporting data, then you are looking at the result of web data analysis.

The single biggest mistake web analysts make is working without purpose. Why should you come to work? Unfortunately a very tiny fraction of companies, or Analysts, want to put in this lifesaving effort up front. If you fall in the "Analyst unwilling to do the hard work" category, I'm afraid I can't help you.

Hence, I have been obsessed with encouraging you to get actual data to learn from. The problem for many new or experienced analysts has been that they either don't have access to any dataset (newbies) or the data they have access to is finite or from an incomplete or incorrect implementation (experienced). Awesome, right?
