I want to comment in an insightful and challenging Opinion piece in this last weekends US print edition of the Wall Street Journal. The article was titled, A Dearth of Data Helped Hong Kong Succeed , and it was written by Jairaj Devadiga. The article explains an odd fact that Hong Kong’s economic policy management during a period of high growth was correlated with a lack of central (e.g. federal) government planning and that was driven by a lack of data about the economy.
